Plans and supervises the activities of an assigned section within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (DPLM); ensures adherence to quality assurance and record keeping standards; provides leadership, technical assistance and training of employees; oversees accurate and timely preparation materials for pathological evaluation.
3-4 years' experience working in a clinical Laboratory setting
Personnel presently working this capacity for more than ten years, not credentialed or holding the necessary educational requirements, may be ""grandfathered"" into this position in compliance with CLIA '88.
HLT (ASCP) or HT (ASCP) required
Ability to use or learn to use PC based software for word processing, spreadsheets, and database management
Ability to use Laboratory information system
Leadership, strong organizational and analytical reasoning skills
