We are looking for a highly analytical and practical clinician to oversee the daily administrative and technical operations of the Lab, to ensure the validity and accuracy of tests within the established turn-around-time (TAT).
Working in collaboration with the Administrative Director, you will:
Help formulate, modify, implement, and coordinate testing procedures and policies
Participate in unit-based hiring, orientation, training, continuing education, counseling, and assessment
Ensure that proficiency testing, performance improvement, quality control, instrument maintenance and performance verification are in accordance with regulatory requirements
To qualify, you must possess:
Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or other healthcare related field
Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a clinical laboratory in a hospital setting with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
NYS Education Department (NYSED) license as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist
Certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) and knowledge of laboratory information system preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
