We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Mohs Histotechnologist in our Vero Beach, Florida office. This person will perform technical preparation of Mohs histology slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination. Full and Part Time options available.
Job Qualifications/Essential Mohs Functions:
Mohs slide preparation
Performs Mohs histology tasks such as embedding, cutting, staining, and cover-slipping of slides for microscopic examination.
Examines slides under microscope to ensure quality of tissue preparation meets laboratory requirements.
Assures activities are conducted in a safe manner and materials are handled according to safety guidelines.
Assures patient privacy is always maintained
Participates as a team member and is accountable for own work responsibilities.
Assures information is delivered in a manner that is supportive, timely and understandable.
Productive work habits are consistently displayed.
Accuracy and quality are maintained for all activities.
Physical Demands: Physical, Mental and workplace Environment Conditions
Ability to sit, stand, walk, repetitive motion
Proficient visual and audio skills.

May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and fixed/frozen tissue.
Education and Experience:
Professional Certification desirable
1-2+ years Mohs histology related experience preferred
