My Career

The incumbent is a Histopathology Technician serving in the Histology section of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service (P&LMS) at the VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System, Nashville, TN. Services include a full range of histological procedures including special staining used in processing surgical, autopsy, and research tissue into finished slides for microscopic diagnosis for physician use in treatment and care of inpatients and outpatients. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
