Regions Hospital Histopathology Department is currently seeking a self-motivated, quality-focused Histotechnologist to join our team. As a Histotechnologist at Regions Hospital you will join an innovative and collaborative group of professionals in our newly remodeled laboratory designed for ergonomics and workflow. Our team has also been engaged in developing our new laboratory information system designed to provide efficiency and patient safety.  Your work will support Regions Hospital as well as six other suburban hospitals and over twenty clinics in our network.   As part of our team, you will prepare samples from a variety of case types, assist on frozen section procedures, perform special stains and share responsibility for quality assurance for the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Completion of an approved histology program and clinical histology internship or completion of an accredited two year laboratory technician training program in a vocation school or junior college.

Licensure/Registration/Certification:  ASCP Histotechnician or Histotechnologist board certification or eligible

Preferred Qualifications:

ASCP Certification or Eligible
