The Supervisor for Histology Services supervises the hospital staff and the technical operations of the Histology Laboratory, the Immunodiagnostic Laboratory, and the frozen section room. Under the direction of the Laboratory Directors and the Laboratory Manager, investigates, writes, and implements technical procedures and policies relative to histology processing, staining and microtomy; and immunohistochemical procedures. Establishes efficient and effective workflow for these areas. Identifies and resolves technical issues in the Histology and Immunodiagnostic Laboratories. Establishes and monitors Quality Control and Quality Assurance programs to meet Joint Commission, CAP, state and federal requirements.
