Ground floor opportunity for an experienced and entrepreneurial minded Pathology Laboratory Manager with experience in dermatopathology. The lab is a start-up, quickly growing and owned by  dermatopathologists. In this hands-on position, you will be responsible for hiring, training and mentoring the technical staff, creating testing protocols, troubleshooting, scheduling, productivity and workflow, inventory management, compliance and budget management. You will be the subject matter expert on all technical affairs, including equipment acquisition, accreditation, efficiency and most importantly quality. Qualifications and Experience

• HT(ASCP) with a bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5-7 years’ experience as a pathology lab manager, dermpath a plus.
• Hands-on knowledge with all processing aspects of histology.
• Focused knowledge in special stains and IHC.
• Experienced in workflow management, efficiency, and productivity. Six Sigma experience a plus.
• Experienced in budget management and inventory control.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders, employees, and clients.
• Positive and forward-thinking attitude.
• Excellent troubleshooter and problem solver.
